FAQ

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO ENTER PRIVATE PRACTICE?

Being a part of the big healthcare systems has its advantages; however, in private practice I can spend more time with patients.  I now have the ability to run my own practice as I wish, which is very important to me.

WHY DID YOU MOVE TO GERMANTOWN?

Unfortunately, my previous contract had a non-compete clause that mandated that I couldn't work within a specified distance of my previous clinic location.  Since the new office is very near to my home of many years, it made sense to locate my practice here!

WITH WHAT HOSPITAL ARE YOU AFFILIATED?

While I no longer have any formal relationship with specific health systems, I have privileges for maternity and newborn care at Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital (formerly Community Memorial Hospital).

DO YOU ACCEPT MY INSURANCE?

WHAT IS INDEPENDENT PHYSICIANS OF WISCONSIN & HOW DOES THIS AFFECT FULL CIRCLE FAMILY MEDICINE?

IPW is a group of independent physicians in Southeastern Wisconsin that have come together to enjoy some of the benefits of being part of a large multi-specialty group (ie negotiating insurance contracts, sharing an electronic medical record, etc) while still maintaining their own unique clinic identities. IPW is the support system that allows me to practice medicine independently in a competitive market.

DOES YOUR HOSPITAL AFFILIATION AFFECT MY CARE?

No!  Most primary care physicians, including myself, utilize hospitalist services for inpatient admissions.  I do provide some inpatient services such as obstetrics and newborn care, but otherwise when you are admitted you will be cared for by the hospitalist team.  A formal affiliation with a hospital or hospital group should not deter you from utilizing a private practice primary care physician, as I am now free to direct you to any hospital you choose that is allowed by your insurance carrier.

CAN I HAVE FCFM AS MY PRIMARY CLINIC & STILL SEE MY OUTSIDE SPECIALISTS?

Of course! I have no desire to interfere with or redirect your relationships with outside specialists, and hope to maintain a positive working relationship with them. Communication in today’s technological age is easier than ever, and I should be able to access to any needed medical records for your ongoing care. The specialists should have equal access to any care you've had done with me as well.

DO YOU HAVE A LAB OR RADIOLOGY TESTING ON-SITE?

We do have an onsite lab available that can perform any needed lab work. Alternatively, if you prefer to have your labs done at another facility, we can arrange for you to have labs done at a place that is convenient for you.

Like many primary care offices, we do not have X-ray or mammogram capabilities on-site. We will, however, arrange for any necessary radiology testing at a facility that is convenient and cost-effective for you.
